Those eligible to vote will receive a personalized link from ElectionBuddy in their emails the morning of Monday, October 7th. Please submit your ballot by 5pm on Monday, October 14th.

How does the Board of Directors Support the Association?

  • Serve as the Voice of the members
  • Advance professionalism through the enforcement of the NAR Code of Ethics
  • Provide relevant industry information and quality educational events to the membership
  • Serve as an active participant in promoting and supporting real property rights in the state of Texas, and in local political issues involving real estate and homeownership
  • Become a recognized leader within the association through your promotion of the Association’s values, culture and services

What is the commitment and responsibility of a Director?

  • Attendance at the Annual Board of Directors Leadership Training and Monthly Board of Directors Meetings
  • Active participation in association activities, education and events throughout the year
  • Serve as an ambassador of the Association through promotion of the WCREALTORS culture, tools and services to the membership
  • Dedication to advancing the professionalism of the REALTOR® Community

How does the voting process work?

  • All members who are eligible to vote will receive an electronic ballot via email on Monday, October 7th, 2024.
  • Each email will include one individualized voter link that may only be submitted once.
  • The ballot will automatically close on Monday, October 14th, 2024 at 5:00pm.
  • Any REALTOR® Member in good standing whose dues have been paid for the current billing cycle may vote in the Director election. The Members shall vote in conformity with such rules and regulations as the Board of Directors may adopt.

Information on running from the floor

  • 14 days before first Monday in October
    • File a petition with the WCREALTORS 2024 Secretary that is signed by at least 10% of REALTOR® members who are eligible to vote
  • 7 days before first Monday in October
    • WCREALTORS 2024 Secretary shall send notice of such additional nominations to all members eligible to vote no later than 7 days prior to election

Qualifications for Director

  • REALTOR® Member of Association for 2 years prior to the beginning of the term and in good standing.
  • Served on an Association committee for at least 1 out of the past 3 years.
  • Closed at least 5 transactions (lease, sale or listing sold, appraised, or managed) in the past year (OR)
    • Managed at least $5M in production in the past year. (OR)
    • A minimum of 200 hours of CE Instructor experience in the past year.

Qualifications for Secretary

  • REALTOR® Member of Association for 3 years prior to the beginning of the term and in good standing.
  • Served on an Association committee for at least 2 of the past 3 years.
  • Closed at least 5 transactions (lease, sale or listing sold, appraised, or managed) in the past year. (OR)
    • Managed at least $5M in production in the past year. (OR)
    • A minimum of 200 hours of CE Instructor experience in the past year.

Qualifications for Treasurer

  • REALTOR® Member of Association for 4 years prior to the beginning of the term and in good standing.
  • Served on a committee for at least 2 out of the past 3 years.
  • Closed at least 5 transactions (lease, sale or listing sold, appraised, or managed) in the past year. (OR)
    • Managed at least $5M in production in the past year. (OR)
    • A minimum of 200 hours of CE Instructor experience in the past year.
  •  Served at least one year as a Director of the Association.
  • Served at least one full year on Finance Committee in the past 3 years prior to the beginning of the term.
  • Has demonstrated competency in drafting or overseeing a budget.
